Send a to-do to Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini with its notes

Send a to-do to Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini with its context.

Updated

Remlo hands any to-do to Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini with the notes under it already written out. You press one button. You do not retype the context.

That is the whole feature. The rest of this page is why I built it that way.

Where the context goes missing

I write a task and then I want help with it. “Draft the reply to the supplier.” “Turn these bullets into a plan.” “Find what is wrong with this query.”

The task is one line. The reason it is hard lives in the four lines under it, and in the call note from Tuesday that those lines came from. Open a chat and the model has none of that. So I copy the line, switch to the note, copy the bullets, switch back, paste, and write two sentences about how I like replies to sound.

By the end I have spent more time on setup than the model will spend answering. And I do it again the next day for a different task.

What Paste to chat does

Open a to-do. On the iPhone, long press it. On the Mac, right click it. Choose Paste to chat and pick Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini.

Remlo copies three things to the clipboard: the task, the bullets nested under it, and the instructions you wrote for that agent. It opens the app, or the website if you use that, and pastes. You land in a chat that already knows what you are asking.

The instructions are the part I use most. You create an agent once, with a folder it works in and a short description of how it should behave. “Write short. No bullet points in emails. Quote prices in dollars.” Every task you hand to that agent carries those lines with it, so I stopped typing my preferences at the start of every chat.

Giving it the rest of your notes

Some questions need more than one task. For those there is a second button that writes every note into a single Markdown file, at a location you choose. Drop that file into a Claude or ChatGPT Project, or a Gemini chat, and the model can answer from your own writing.

On the Mac there is a third route. Remlo can run a small server on your machine, so Claude Desktop and similar tools can read your notes while Remlo is open. It is off until you turn it on in Settings. It answers only programs on that Mac, every request carries a token the app generates, and you can require approval for every write.

On the Mac you can also press Run in Terminal on a to-do assigned to an agent. Remlo opens Terminal and starts a command-line agent you installed yourself. I use that for tasks that touch files, and Paste to chat for tasks that are mostly words.

What leaves the app

Only what you hand off, and only when you press the button.

Your notes live in your iCloud. There is no Remlo account and no Remlo server in the path. When you press Paste to chat, a task and its bullets go to the app you picked, and from that moment they sit under that company’s terms. I have no way to pull them back.

So I keep a rule. A task about a reply to a supplier goes. A note with a client’s bank details stays where it is. The button makes this easy to get right, because nothing moves until I press it.

What it does not do

It does not decide which tasks to send. Nothing runs in the background and nothing gets handed off while you sleep.

It does not paste the answer back. The reply lives in the chat, and if you want it in the note, you copy it over. I think that is correct. A model’s answer is a draft, and a draft should pass through your hands once.

It works with the three apps above.

Who this is for

The person who already pays for one of these and uses it a few times a day. The person who writes tasks in notes, because that is where tasks start, and then loses a minute rebuilding the context every time.

If you never use a chat assistant, skip it. Remlo works without it.

Remlo creates a page for every day, collects every to-do you type in a note, and links notes both ways. The hand-off sits on top of that. It is $19 a year with seven days free, or $149 once.

The task is one line. The context is what makes it worth sending, and that is already in the note.

Common questions

How do I send a task from Remlo to ChatGPT?

Open the to-do. On the iPhone, long press it. On the Mac, right click it. Choose Paste to chat, then pick ChatGPT. Remlo copies the task, the bullets nested under it, and the instructions you wrote for that agent, opens ChatGPT, and pastes.

Which AI apps does Paste to chat work with?

Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini, as an app or as a website. It works on the iPhone and the Mac.

Does Remlo send my notes to an AI company?

Only what you hand off, and only when you press the button. Everything else stays in your iCloud. Once text reaches another company's app, that company's terms and privacy policy apply, so send only what you are willing to share.

Can Claude or ChatGPT read all of my notes?

You can export every note into one Markdown file, to the location you choose, for a Claude or ChatGPT Project or a Gemini chat. On the Mac, Remlo can also run a local server, off until you turn it on in Settings, so tools like Claude Desktop can read your notes while Remlo is open.

What does Remlo cost?

$19 a year with seven days free, or $149 once. One purchase covers Mac, iPhone, and iPad.

Give your mind one place.
